Our May Pole

We were feeling creative this weekend and decided to make a May pole!

Our supplies consisted of:

cardboard from the inside of wrapping paper,

finger paints,

strips of fabric,

and a bouquet from our garden.

It was simple and fun!  Meade really got into the finger paints!

Our garden

A born gardener!
One of my favorite containers.

I look forward to seeing our mertensia (blue bells) flower each spring,
It is my very favorite perennial!

Easter

Meade and his cousin Aiden on Easter Sunday.
My sweet baby trying to give me a dandelion.
Our water color Easter egg banner.

This very special basket was once Jason's.
Grammy was kind enough to pass it down to Meade.

Happy Spring!

A cherished moment spent outside.

Discovering all the plants coming out of hibernation.

These are things we dream of all winter long.

Nature springing back to life!

Sweater

I am proud to announce...

I have completed knitting my very first sweater!

After searching the knitting section at our local library,

I stumbled upon this book,

It contains so many cute patterns it was hard to pick!

Snowdrop

Ah, hush! Tread softly through the rime,

For there will be a blackbird singing, or a thrush.

Like coloured beads the elm-buds flush:

All the trees dream of leaves and flowers and light.

And see! The northern blank is much more white.

Than frosty grass, for now is snowdrop time.

Signs of Spring

We are getting pretty excited for spring around here!

Yesterday we had lots of fun in the sun.

We hung up our bird nester.

Enjoyed the sweet smell of our 'Arnold Promise' Witch Hazel in bloom.

Meade was trying to focus on all of the honey bees working hard collecting pollen.

We are axiously waiting for our hellebores to bloom.

We cut back the foliage so we can have a perfect veiw of the pretty flowers when they open.
