August...

This August was filled with some new adventures.

Our first family canoe trip!

With all the rain we have been experiencing.  We have become professional mushroom hunters.

Soaking up the last few warm days of summer at the beach.

Loving every minute of being 3!

Adirondaks

Blue Mountain Lake, NY

The fire tower at the top of Blue Mountain

Canoe adventure

I am so grateful to have been able to get away.
Smiling and laughing like the old days...
Thank you Jamie for making it happen. xoxo

summer...
we don't want it to end!

On the go!

Meade stayed with his Grammy and Pop while we worked on his new big boy room.  I am still waiting for his prints to arrive... so the completed room will be posted soon!

last week we spent some time at the beach.  The cool sand in the shadows felt nice..

as well as a stroll under the bridge.

We love visiting Longwood Gardens in the summer! Daddy couldn't join us but we took this picture for him because we know how much he loves carnivorous plants!!

Contemplating the amazing waterlilies...

Another summer favorite is swimming in Aunt Kristy and Crumple Geoff's pool!

And our pool/summer bathtub...

I must say that all of the running around has been fun.  But we are looking to slow it down a bit.  This 3 year old likes the experiences at his house, just as much if not more than anywhere else.

3 Years!

It has been a busy week...

My little guy turned 3!

he went blueberry picking...

and caught his first frog!

the best part of all... a party with his family and friends!

I am excited to see what this next year has in store for us!

June...

A view of the front yard with butterfly weed in full bloom...

I am obsessed with black and blue salvia.

And all of the new black petunia's!

The herb garden.

Saracinia tubes and flowers with our succulent roof bird feeder.

Some blooms from the yard, in one of the ball jars I scored at the town wide yard sale.

Meade is going to be moving into a bigger room.  I found this shelf that will be a perfect addition to his new space!

And the cutting garden... zinnia's, sunflowers and 4 dahlia's.

Oh the wonderful sunshine

We have been spending lots of time outdoors...

investigating,

discovering,

jumping the super duper waves!

relaxing and goofing around!

Around here

Potty training...

Finally new bathroom fixtures!

Pitcher plants in bloom.

The stepping stones that I created in the fall, have finally made it to their place in the garden

Succulent window boxes...I am in love with because they are super low maintenance.

This guy is getting so big I can't take it!

  Giant Alliums!
